Today was a washout. Unfortunately, I had the day scheduled off and couldn't change it. It was raining cats and dogs this morning, so I didn't even venture outside until late morning. I tried catching up on a lot of things that required my attention

This afternoon the rain tapered off and turned into a drizzle and stayed that way until it got dark. I decided to go into the area I hunted on Friday because I found a big, fresh scrape there and wanted to sit on it. Since I've never hunted there, I put a lot of cameras in there to get intel for the year to see if it would be worth my time in the future. That's the only thing I use cameras for anymore.

However, this afternoon made me realize why I've gone away from using cameras. The camera was on the tree no more than 48 hours before it was stolen I rant about it every year, but I just can't understand why people can't leave shit alone that they don't own. The funniest part about the theft is that the camera requires a code to use it, and I'm sure the person will never crack the code. So they stole a camera that they can never use. I'm sure they'll be impressed with all the pictures on the card. Once again, they got a camera with about four years of information on it, and none of the information is from where the camera was when they took it. Joke is on them, but the owning of cameras is getting expensive the last few years, so I believe this might've been the last straw for me.

I'm going to hunt for a few hours in the morning and see what happens. It will be the first good day of the season, and I can only be out for a few hours. Brian called from the Midwest and says there are people all over,  and he can't escape them. It's amazing what social media has done to hunting in general. Very few people used to hunt on public land. Now, everyone in the country thinks it's the cool thing to do. It has made the quality of the experience rapidly decrease. In many ways, it's sad to watch what it has become as to what it used to be.
